I fell in love with my own version of Prince Charming. He was beautiful inside and out. I started to believe I was living the modern day version of this romantic folktale I grew up reading.

With hearts in our eyes, against our parents’ wishes, we decided to follow our own path, ready to live, breathe, and die in each other’s arms. Maybe it happened all too fast or maybe I was too blind to notice. What started as a dreamy relationship, quickly turned on its head when the realities of life hit me and my ‘prince’.

My name is Heer Sanghvi and unlike my name, my life never gave me a fair share of true love. I don’t know if I can tell you without a tear in my eye why I think all White Horses on which the princes ride have Dark Shadows, but let me try, okay?
